For the first time in history, AI is enabling us to extract detailed statistical data about contracts at a global scale.

The question: “What’s market?” will soon have a definitive answer for virtually every agreement, industry and geography. Contracting trends will become transparent to everyone willing to use the right tools.

No longer will this kind of insight be the sole domain of large law firms that have large deal flow and outsized resources. It will be democratized–with greater precision and detail than has ever been accessible to any lawyer.

AI products, up until now, have been useful for contract review—but lacking in verifiable data.AI can output 20 redline suggestions, but are those redlines grounded in anything objective? Are they relevant to our specific deals?

In 2026, we'll see AI advance to be grounded in the market standards relevant to our deals. We'll have control over industry, jurisdiction and other parameters–ultimately giving us outputs that feel much more relevant to our practice.

We're thrilled to share our first annual 2026 State of Contracts report, based on anonymous, aggregate statistics from hundreds of thousands of contracts across 30 countries.
