Introducing Preference Learning in Spellbook Reviews

Starting today, Spellbook will remember how you review contracts and prioritize issues based on what matters most to you.

Previously, Spellbook surfaced every review suggestion with equal priority. You decided what mattered—which worked, but meant sorting through items to find what was relevant to your practice.

With Preference Learning enabled, Spellbook learns from suggestions you accept or dismiss. When it spots an issue you're likely to act on, it raises it to the top of the list for easy triage.

The more you use it, the smarter it gets.

How It Works

Next time you run a Review, you'll see an opt-in prompt to enable “Preference Learning”. Once you switch this on, Spellbook will begin to remember all the review suggestions you accept or dismiss.

Over time, it’ll use those patterns to prioritize future review items. If you consistently flag overly broad indemnification clauses, similar issues will appear higher in your list. If you regularly dismiss certain boilerplate comments, those will appear lower.

The underlying analysis stays the same. Spellbook still finds every issue it normally would. Preference Learning just reorders results based on what you're likely to act on.

You can toggle this on or off anytime from Settings and delete stored preferences whenever you want. It's per-user, so your preferences won't affect teammates on the same team.

What This Means For Spellbook Users

You’ll move through contracts faster because Spellbook automatically prioritizes the issues that matter most to your work. Reviews will feel smoother and more focused. And the more you run, the sharper they'll get.
